Summer has arrived, and that means our crews are hard at work improving the roads, drainage systems, and infrastructure that keep our community moving safely.

While you may see more orange cones and work zones around town, every project is part of our commitment to maintaining and improving the services our residents rely on every day.

🌳 Turning Brush into Mulch

 

One of our biggest projects this summer is reducing and processing the town's accumulated brush pile. Crews and contractors are grinding thousands of cubic yards of brush and yard waste into reusable mulch, helping us reclaim valuable space while creating a useful product from material that would otherwise go to waste.

It's a great example of turning a challenge into a resource.

🚧 Road Repairs Underway

 

Winter weather leaves its mark on our roads, and summer is the ideal time to make repairs. Our crews are patching damaged pavement, repairing problem areas caused by frost heaves, and preparing roads for future resurfacing projects.

These repairs help extend the life of our roads and provide a smoother, safer ride for everyone.

💧 Keeping Water Moving

 

Proper drainage is one of the most important parts of maintaining our roadways. This summer we are repairing and replacing damaged catch basins and drainage structures throughout the town.

 

When drainage systems work properly, roads last longer, flooding is reduced, and costly repairs can often be avoided.

🧹 Sweeping Away Winter

 

Street sweeping is more than just making roads look nice. Our crews are removing sand, salt residue, and debris left behind from winter operations to help keep storm drains clear and improve the appearance of our neighborhoods.

It's one of the first signs that summer has officially arrived in Camillus.

Road paving season is now underway. We are investing in roadway improvements that will benefit residents for years to come by resurfacing roads, improving ride quality, and protecting the town's infrastructure.
